Biography
Nicole Richie was born on September 21st., 1981 with a full name of Nicole Camille Escovedo.[2]
Richie is not the biological daughter of Lionel Richie, but was the daughter of one of his band mates, Peter Escovedo III.
Nicole used to hang around the "Commodores", and became something of a mascot for the band. When she turned 3, Escovedo allowed Nicole to move in with Lionel Richie and his then-wife Brenda Harvey-Richie. Nicole was adopted six years later, and Escovedo surrendered any and all paternal rights.[3]
Nicole Richie is the daughter of Lionel Richie of the Commmodores and a co-star of the MTV Reality TV Show "A Simple Life." She is a well known "frenemy" of Paris Hilton, dating back to the pair's time as socialites. Nicole Richie has been a relatively constant staple of most gossip columns.
Personal Life
Nicole Richie is dating Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, and the two announced the birth of a girl on January 11th, 2008. Her name is Harlow Winter Kate Madden. "It's just amazing. I'm so excited," Richie's friend, Lauren Conrad, star of "The Hills" told PEOPLE concerning the birth.[1]
