Christina Maria Aguilera was born on in Staten Island, New York on December 18th., 1980 to Shelly and Fuasto Aguilera. She is a popular singer, with millions of record sold. Christina was a child of divorce, and lived with her mother, who moved the family around. Christina had a beautiful voice, even as a child, and dreamed only of becoming a singer. She performed for anyone she could, and joined in talent shows from the age of six, and people called her the "little girl with a big voice."[3]
She auditioned for a role on the "Mickey Mouse Club" in 1989, and landed the part.[2]
Personal Life
Christina Aguilera is married to music executive Jordan Bratman and the couple have a boy Liron Bratman, born on January 12th, 2008.
Music Career
Christina Aguilera has enjoyed high sales figures throughout her recording career. Her breakthrough year was 1999. She scored her first number 1 single with "Genie In A Bottle". This hit stayed on top of the music charts for five consecutive weeks and pushed tthe album to number 1 when it was released in August 1999.[3]
